Coming to You Live from South Africa: Boundary Crossing in the Digital Age

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Geography, culture, language, education—Penn State students and faculty participating in Parks and People: South Africa have many boundaries to navigate during their semester abroad. Find out how research and teaching, natural and human systems, and science capacity building come together in this unique multidisciplinary experience. Digital artifacts are used to facilitate communication, document engagement, and support education initiatives as Penn State students learn first-hand about biodiversity, climate change, conservation and ecosystem management, community livelihoods, the interactions between nature and society, and sustainability leadership.
